About Me

My name is Tahmi (pronounced TOM-EE; she/her) and I have worked in private practice for over 10 years. Other related work experience consists of both direct and indirect roles in a variety of settings such as non-profits, public health crisis response, community-based mental health, and chemical dependency detoxification and outpatient treatment.

My education includes a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling and a post-graduate certificate in Addiction Studies. I am dually licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with the Behavioral Board of Health & Therapy in the state of Minnesota, specializing in co-occurring issues and trauma-informed practices.

I’m certified in EMDR therapy, which is my primary therapeutic method. I also have training and experience in numerous somatic modalities, including Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga of 12-Step Recovery, Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, and Tension & Trauma-Releasing Exercises.
